- J21.23 Bøur, Leitisvatn & G! Festival
- Today was jam packed with action despite another late start, with a drive down to Bøur, a little village with great views of rocks towering out of the sea in the distance.
- Next stop as time was ticking, Leitisvatn, the largest lake in the Faroes and it features two attractions, a 40m waterfall that goes out to sea and the other being a vantage point at the top of a cliff that offers a world-famous illusion of a lake sitting perched high above the sea. Weather wasn’t the best, quite gusty followed by light showers but having taken-in the epic scenery, I headed back to get changed into dry clothes for the festival.
- G! Festival is a little known gem on the music scene calendar but it is a genuinely great event to check out, with an eclectic line-up of artists, friendly (and small) crowd plus hot tubs on the beach. Mø headlined and she delivered a high energy performance the people stuck around for in the misty town of Syðrugøta. While I didn’t know the other artists nor the party goers, there was a genuinely warm vibe and met many great people. Take heed promoters around the world: Quality, not quantity. 👌🏻
