- As I write this I eagerly await the reopening of traffic through a tunnel near Flåm so I can sleep once I finally get to Odda, looking like 2hrs away
- After some advice from the AirBnB host I dropped some of the waterfalls on my list and headed off to Flåm via Stryn and Sognefjellvegen which I had no idea about but both included amazing scenery ranging from fjords to alpine snowcaps at Sognefjellet, 1400m above sea level where I made sure to have some fun in the summer snow and enjoy a unique roadtrip lunch.
- Both along that route and shortly after we’re plenty of tight hairpins weaving through the mountainous terrain, travelling through Europe’s longest road tunnel (24.5km) and visiting the beautifully designed Stegastein viewing platform overlooking Aurland where I’d grab a late dinner while meeting a Norwegian, a Spaniard and an American and discussing our adventures!
