- Adventure begins early again with an SAS flight to Narvik, followed by the 6hr scenic 23-760 regional bus service to Å i Lofoten.
- Words and the planning-ahead simply did not prepare me for the breathtaking scenery of this bus route, undoubtedly the most spectacular bus trip out there, taking you through fjords, over giant bridges connecting the fishing islands and of course snow capped peaks all around with lush greenery.
- Having stopped at a house in Reine to collect car, it was just a 15 minute drive to dinner and a bed for the night but alas, it was a steep learning curve to drive a manual car on the right hand side plus navigating the narrow streets with motorhomes trying to squeeze past!
- Sleep was good but didn’t come easy, what started as a post-dinner nap had me awake and breaking a sweat at 2am with complete daylight outside!! Back to bed, it’s ok, using a pillow to block out the light. 😂
